In yesterday’s video post from Steven Mathews of Vorsprung Suspension as a part of his Tuesday Tune series (Ep 10) in collaboration with Whistler Performance Lubricants (WPL) mention was made of my old suspension fluid chart. It was nice of them to bring up this topic for folks and they did it justice.
A page on the subject has been up on my old wiki for the last 10 years. I go a bit more into the subject there and in other places. It’s been a while since I did any work on this subject but it’s still very useful today as it was back in 2006. Forgive the lack of updates, the wiki has been a zombie since around 2008. It may be time for me to properly revisit the issue as it’s been quite a long time and I’ve learned a lot more in the past decade. It’s also important.
Here’s what WPL’s ShockBoost products look like:
And my old chart of other commercial brands:
On a related note, I’ve been watching as Steve has been producing these videos. I highly recommend EP 7. It informed me and has changed my way of looking at setting the droop of the bicycle. A great perspective.
